City filled with houses and an increase in asylum seekers expect more flooding in the Windsor Mayor Eddie Francis on financial support from Ottawa inquiry.

"If there a way by thousands had on the local social assistance as a result of asylum seekers crossed the border to Windsor, we are overwhelmed and our current resources would not suffice," Francis said Wednesday in a letter to Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

In the last three weeks, 45 families and 31 people - about 200 people - entered Canada at the crossing points requested the Detroit River in Windsor, and for housing and social assistance after filing refugee claims.
