Can my asthma turn in to COPD? - asthma turn to copd
I've had asthma for 9 years. On 20 April, I was in the emergency room of an asthma attack. I stayed there for almost 10 hours and confessed to me. You have given me so many steroids, my heart rate 160bpm. Asthma worsened over time, and my breath is horrible. I need an inhaler on a daily basis, and I am worried that I am myself from the inhaler.

I have asthma for almost 30 years and were taken to hospital for pneumonia and attacks on several occasions. They are not immune from your inhaler. I was on Albuterol for I am old enough to use to win. Try to get a driver med like Advair, that worked very well for me. Do not take a lot of things that have steroids in it, because the screws on the level of sugar in the blood, and after many years you can make diabetes. The last time I was in hospital I was given my insulin and blood sugar out of control. Try a machine for home use nuebulizer preserved, so that if the inhaler does not want him with the machine can help him better. Remember to take an allergy med, if you have allergies. Claritin has helped me, but I am not proposing for the nasal spray in the other person. It burned my nose. Good luck and hope you can avoid the emergency room in the future.
NO .... Two things are completely different but have very similar symptoms ...
First, you are born with mutated genes that cause asthma. It may not appear for years, perhaps ever, but again some people have serious consequences with the condition. Several things can often trigger an asthma attack. Steroids and broncholdialaters are the most common treatment for asthma, COPD, also (and perhaps oxygen) ...
COPD on the other side is something acquired over time, usually from smoking (95%). Air Pollution May also play a role during the attack of the disease.
The main difference in the two asthma are those who have trouble in the air ... Considering that COPD will to fight the air from the lungs push ... Sometimes a person is required to use oxygen for COPD, because it really upset your saturation (oxygen) levels in blood, and the accumulation of CO2 into the system, which in turn can lead to heart failure ...
I have severe COPD ... I had to oxygen 24 / 7 usage and 9 more pillswith two daily steroid inhalers. No fun state ...
Asthma and COPD are two different diseases. Chronic asthma, you should be based on a steroid inhaler like Flovent or a combination inhaler such as Advair. Since asthma is often aggravated by allergies, it can sometimes be useful to a nasal steroid spray such as fluticasone add (a generic). If you have not seen pulmonologist and / or an allergist, I suggest you begin. Good luck.
COPD is a group of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma is one of them. They suffer from severe persistent asthma based on their drug list. You really need an asthma supervisor / tutor to help teach how asthma control. Visit this site:
Your World Asthma. Go to page: memories, research in the middle of the page and you will find programs of asthma state. Here you will find information and valuable resources to get help for your asthma under control. It can be done.
The only way to know if you have asthma or COPD, or both (I have two), is have a lung function test. In a PFT with salbutamol asthma and COPD is not reversible. In COPD, is the spread of impaired capacity, but not in asthma. With asthma have greater airway resistance in COPD and no. Asthma is a respiratory tract (tube) and COPD is a problem with the lung tissue (SAC). Some peopl have both.
It can not be free of Ventolin. I've had in the past two years are admitted for severe asthma, months for a total of 18th In my experience, you need regularly if steroids are not drugs do their job properly. Oh, I'm 16th
Some people unfortunately do
It is very rare, but from what I believe.
Sorry for your trauma: S
Good Luck xxxx
